French Squad for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

Didier Deschamps, the head coach of the defending champions France, must be hoping that his team will join Italy (1934, 1938) and Brazil as the third nation to win consecutive titles (1958, 1962). They will be making their sixteenth appearance in the World Cup, which they have won twice (1998, 2018). Will they be able to win the golden trophy in Qatar for the third time?

France is accompanied by relatively less tough opponents in Group D. They must proceed to the knockout stages by overcoming Australia, Denmark, and Tunisia in their group. Given the firepower in their ranks, it shouldn’t be difficult for them to go through the group stages before facing off against more difficult opponents later on.

The 2022 World Cup in Qatar will be inaugurated shortly, and the world’s top international teams start landing in the Middle Easter country to compete for the sport’s most illustrious honor.

Players from all around the world will be frantically trying to keep in shape to offer themselves the best opportunity of being selected for their national team panel for the competition because squad spots are up for grabs.

You can find out everything you need to know on GOAL, including the deadline for submitting World Cup rosters and the maximum number of players that can be listed.

FIFA has stated that in addition to larger teams, teams would be permitted to use five substitutes during games, with a total of 15 players on the bench. The well-being of the players is of utmost importance because temperatures in Qatar throughout the competition are predicted to be around 30 degrees Celsius (85F).

Goalkeepers

Players: Hugo Lloris, Benoit Costil, Alphonse Areola

Hugo Lloris has been one of France’s most important players and is expected to surpass Ronaldo as the country’s most-capped player in Qatar. The 35-year-old Spurs goalkeeper has led his nation since 2012, and Les Bleus will need his expertise and dependability more than ever.

Defenders

Players: Benjamin Pavard, Leo Dubois, Dayot Upamecano, Clement Lenglet, Jules Kounde, Kurt Zouma, Lucas Digne, Lucas Hernandez, Theo Hernandez

Deschamps looks set on playing a back-three in defense. Kounde, Varane, and Lucas Hernandez might all make their debuts as a result. Kante and Camavinga should start in midfield, with Pavard and Theo Hernandez on the wings. Griezmann will likely be operating in the hole up front for Mbappe and Benzema to form a sort of attacking trident. Lloris, Kounde, Varane, L. Hernandez, Pavard, Kante, Camavinga, T. Hernandez, Griezmann, Benzema, and Mbappe make up the France XI (3-4-1-2).

Midfieldrs

Players:Jordan Veretout, Aurelien Tchouameni, N’Golo Kante, Adrien Rabiot, Matteo Guendouzi

Paul Pogba is in a race against time to recover in time for the World Cup as he is anticipated to miss 40 to 60 days of activity following surgery for a meniscus problem. Even if the midfielder is unable to travel to Qatar, Deschamps won’t need to worry much because he already has an issue with having too many alternatives. The first candidates to receive the nod should be Adrien Rabiot, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, and N’Golo Kante. At Real Madrid, Camavinga and Tchouameni are both having success and are temperamentally suited to shine at the World Cup. Another player who will be competing for a World Cup spot is Lyon’s Houssem Aouar. Nabil Fekir, a master of creativity, may play as an attacking midfielder and his experience could be crucial in Qatar.

Strikers

Players: Antoine Griezmann, Wissam Ben Yedder, Kylian Mbappe, Kingsley Coman, Karim Benzema, Moussa Diaby

Without a doubt, France’s strongest department is Attack.  Karim Benzema, Kylian Mbappe, and Ousmane Dembele all be hoping to get the start in Qatar, but there will also be competition from the likes of Olivier Giroud, Antoine Griezmann, and Christopher Nkunku. Players like Anthony Martial, Moussa Diaby, and Kingsley Coman haven’t even been considered yet!
